Nope, true story. I wish it had never happened. I've been flying for 31 years and, honestly, have never had a true personality conflict in the cockpit, left seat or right. This guy set a precedent. Never again. Life's too short to fly with a-holes.
The funniest thing about it is, you get a guy like that in the cockpit that seems to get all surprised when you tell him that "your kind of tired" or "not really in the mood to grab dinner" on the layover.
Somehow I couldn't see hanging out on the layover being any more exciting. The bonus is when you bump in to them by accident on the layover.
