Northern B&B (“Dorothy’s) – Last I stayed there it was $72/night. Obviously includes a full breakfast and she has snacks (cookies/coffee/ice cream, etc) available all day. She’ll pick you up/drop off at the airport/cargo hubs (unless you’re getting in a 0300). She let me borrow her car to drive a couple miles down the road to the grocery store. She’ll do your laundry. You
are
living in someone else’s house and possibly sharing a bathroom with another guest. I grew a bit tired of that and now use the hotels.
Inlet Tower - $69+tax in the off season/$89+tax during summer. Will give you a half price room for partial day use. Rooms are good, no major complaints, clean, usually quiet. Easy walk downtown when it’s warm. Pick up on demand at the airport/cargo, van will run you downtown when available. Vans leave at the top of the hour going to the airport. Pretty good restaurant/bar. Rooms have fridge/microwave. Laundry in the basement. Sagaya market is across the street (groceries/deli/hot,cold prepared food/coffee shop). Free hot breakfast in the off season(usually)
Ramada Inn - $45/night off season, over $100 in summer so I don’t use it then. My primary winter location. Rooms slightly smaller than Inlet. No major issues with cleanliness/noise. Transportation on demand both ways. Free continental breakfast. Nice local bar/restaurant(The Slippery Salmon) next door, so longish winter treks to grab a brew are not necessary (although you’re only a couple of blocks from the Hilton/F-street area). Laundry room available. Fridge/microwave in room.
