Every six months or so I get something to look forward to, only to see it turn into burning embers...
They have to build the 717 category in advance of aircraft arrivals. There will be a few LCA, APD and other positions which require training but aren't fully available for staffing the jet.
I've been exactly "one year away from a good deal" my entire career.
