All true. I hope my response was general enough to differentiate that the military are about the only ones that do takeoff-landing.

I think EVERYONE does it by the sortie because that's the only thing that really makes sense. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a misunderstanding/mis-speak by Atlas...in fact, if I were applying at Atlas, I'd feel better if this was written down somewhere (the instructions for filling out the PAQ, for example).
