Guy I flew with last week got hired after the job fair last fall, no internals. I also recall meeting someone awhile back who was hired under a similar situation. Not putting anyone down that didn't get a call (I'm sure we're overlooking some great people), but rather rebuking the arguement that these job fairs are a waste of time. They may be the ONLY way for some to get their name noticed.

On balance, it's a scam.
Here is a conspiracy theory... ACS charges admission, kicks back a percentage to attending airlines, who agree to hire at least one. More ancillary revenue!
Side note: wonder if any pilots would be willing to pay for training...
