Here is a conspiracy theory... ACS charges admission, kicks back a percentage to attending airlines, who agree to hire at least one. More ancillary revenue!

Could be true; wouldn't put it past them. Wasn't the job fair last fall put on by/paid for by Spirit? That could be the difference.
Of course, you have no chance with the pretty girls if you never ask them to dance...
