6 yr CA pay here, mortgage, student loans... And I vote NO! It'll never get better without making a stand. Might not fix anything immediately, but take this deal, and the next will be worse. Then what do you have to look forward to? Left seat for the same pay as the guy driving the parking shuttle?
I am not defending this at all and I promise I will vote NO on a term sheet like that, but it's about time to face the facts.
Things will NEVER get better at the regionals. The industry doesn't care about experience or the people serving it. Look at Comair. Look at Pinnacle. Then look at GoJet. Look at CommutAir. It is all about costs. It always has been and will be.
Every time a pilot group makes gains airline managements threaten to pull the flying. It will never get better. Ever.
We are all living in denial.
