While I completely agree with everyone above me, I always see people saying "yeah, being a pilot is great, good pay, great view, you get to travel" followed by the famous "but at the end of the day, it's just a job." My question is, what's wrong with it being "just a job." I've known many friends who pursued the wrong careers getting stuck behind a desk crunching numbers, pushing paper, changing bed pans at the hospital, wiping snot off some kids face, at what is also "just a job" and they hate theirs far more than we do....so again, if you don't mind the lifestyle, what's wrong with flying being "just a job"? Are we too good to have jobs? We all knew what we were getting into.
