Wrong!
All there is to do is place a bid for the for the new LUAL (assuming no sli) pilot base and send them to the CAL training. You didn't think they would build a whole NEW training course or SOPs for LUAL pilots, did you?
.
Not sure about the S-CAL contract language on training but the S-UAL contract says that United pilots will be trained by United instructor pilots on the United pilot seniority list.
I have done many offsites training while at United, ( SEA flight safety, lufthansa, airbus in MIA ect.) but always with United instructors. Until there is a JCBA and SLI I believe that our separate contracts will still govern.
United has long shut down the B737 fleet department( support and staff). I don't think that S-UAL could run a NEW fleet with S-CAL B737 fleet department over seeing it. Again contract prohibitive....
UCH would love to try it but...JCBA first...
