[QUOTE=Scoop;1250237]Xtreme,
My favorite are the Regional guys who constantly complain about DAL Pilots for relaxing Scope over the years. While I agree our Scope relaxation has been disappointing there is plenty of blame to go around.
Lets put this in perspective. These are for the most part guys who took advantage of the DCI growth and got hired on with the regionals.
Now that they have their hours and are ready to move on to the majors outsourcing is bad and it is clearly the fault of "greedy" DAL Pilots "selling" Scope at every opportunity.
Here we have a "typical" DAL Pilot contemplating the latest Scope sale.
What is more selfish then the Regional Pilot who votes yes for outsourcing by taking the job in the first place and then as soon as he is ready to move to the majors bemoans the whole practice. Talk about raising the ladder behind you.

How the heck is a civilian supposed to get flight time? The HAVE to fly for a regional!! Years ago I had some arrogant mainline United pilot give me crap for stealing his 737 flying. My airline had just placed their first big RJ order.
I was still flying brand new brasilias with that new car smell. Every week I listened to this guys crap while riding his jumpseat. I was a new regional pilot and knew zilch about scope. Before my next jumpseat I spent some time researching scope loss and how the industry got there. Well, the same captain started into me. I politely reminded him that mainline pilots thought they were too good to fly those baby jets for low pay. Do you really think rj pilots planned their career at a regional? No way. We all wanted these jets at mainline, for mainline pay and seniority.
American pilots published a paper showing how they could economically fly those pesky mosquito jets. United and Delta pilots were above that C scale flying. They wanted more money. The captain listened to my arguement, the FO said I was right, I thanked him again for the ride to work, and he just sat there with a scowl on his face. On the way out he apologized.
Regional pilots are not the problem. WE MAINLINE pilots are the problem. We sell out for more money every time. I'm posting in anger and I shouldn't. I'm just sick and tired of clueless senior arrogant know-it-all elitist people not taking credit for their own mistakes.
