Thanks for the humbling words. I checked and Twin Wasp had it right. A SIC type will not count for the current NPRM wording.

(b) No certificate holder may use nor
may any pilot act as second in
command unless the pilot holds an
airline transport pilot certificate and an
appropriate aircraft type rating for the
aircraft being flown. A pilot type rating
obtained under § 61.55 does not satisfy
the requirements of this section

I don't see many people complaining about this section since it's not that big a deal in the grand scheme of the NPRM. It'll probably stick. It's the restricted ATP proposals that are the real debate items.
