On the "Do I really want to work for Atlas question?" Do yourself a huge favor and ignore the equipment. Would you want this job if it were well maintained some other type airplanes? After a month or two the 74 is just another airplane, there is nothing magical about it. For me, the best part is the upper deck. If you want this job just for the airplane you will be miserable quick.

On the other hand, if the lifestyle fits you, I think you would be hard pressed to do better on the "I like my job" part. Money, that's another story. Take a hard look in the mirror and then decide.
