I would not rely on perdiem that much since you will probably be on reserve your first year on the jet and your perdiem will vary.
Per diem is all I rely on when I'm on reserve. Months where I don't fly very often I'm getting $650/check with reserve guarantee. When I fly more the per diem can really add up. I've never been lucky enough to break guarantee. I keep myself on call first trying to get the per diem from getting trips until I can get a line.
