Travel benefits...
I haven't paid for an airline ticket in at least 10 years...majority of my time at Atlas I have been based in JFK (live on the West Coast). So, most of my flying starts with a trans-continental Atlas-paid ticket. Days of jumpseating are gone, gone, and more gone.
Those trans-con flights allow for a nice frequent flier status on the Big Three...plus don't forget about international deadheads we do from time to time. All Business Class, and all (well, most) are on the big three alliance airlines, and their partners.
So, don't sweat the ID90s and such...non revving sucks anyway. Just collect the miles and use them for the family.
Ok, without sounding snoooooty about this...are you willing to turn down a job offer (or an interview even) because an airline doesn't have too many discount travel opportunities...ask that question to a FDX or a UPS guy. I'd say his answer would be similar to mine above.
Might be time to look at the big picture...
Good luck.
