I think it's more of an XJET wanting to merge with skywest. They are perfectly happy out there enjoying the benefits of an automatic 2 % over all others. I'm sure the benefits of the unified pilots group trickle down to them anyways. Why in the world would they want all of the added drama that comes with a merger. I'm sure if Jerry could do it over with the whole XJET/ASA merger he would jump right on that opportunity.
I thought it was essentially our pay
minus 2% - basically, the 2% in union dues they don't have to pay, even though they piggyback off of our union's efforts.
From a QOL perspective you'd love to have the opportunity to be based in a much larger variety of places, should that ever come to fruition.
