Sort of correct.
It's only a deadline for those that previously bypassed the offer to request classes in specifically in Nov. or Dec. (12/wk starting every Tuesday.) If not enough pilots make the request UCH will hire off the street.
Additional classes are anticipated to be scheduled starting in January and continuing through the spring and those same L-UAL pilots will still have first dibbs. FWIW, furloughed L-UAL pilots currently have ten year bypass rights so this process will presumably continue before, during, and after seniority list integration. In addition the TPA section that governs hiring is one of the sections that does
not expire prior to a JCBA.
