If a furloughed United pilot was scheduled to be number one on the list before being furloughed he was still scheduled to be number one upon recall. United had over twice the number of wide bodies and twice the number on order. The good news is that by the end of the year we should have close to 400 United pilots on the property, a huge voting block and probably enough to gain seats on the MEC. Their tactic of delaying the contract to get as many upgrades as possible will come back to bite them in the ass.
Yea LCAL pilots are trying to stall for more upgrades because we haven't been working under our stellar contract long enough. GMAFB...
It doesn't matter if a furloughed will be #1 someday, all that matters is that he is furloughed NOW, because that company may not be around tomorrow.
Hope you and Skippy enjoy pulling gear for your 2005 hire Captains!
