A few RJ airlines would have to hire 2000-3000 pilots while maintaining Eagle, and fully staffing Eagle in the transition. It just seems very complex and people are just making up what they want to benefit themselves as an outcome of these rumors. The only other option is AMR exchanges them 2 for 1 for 175s. I guess the entire dismantle of Eagle could happen as they give the 175s to RAH and keep the CRJ700s and whatever else they get for Eagle CRJ wise, bid out the 175s and bid out the entire 50 seat flying. Seems like a huge friggin gamble that it actually played out. Sounds more like hype and rumors. Also since nothing has happened with the AA pilot contract, I doubt anything is going to happen with feed airlines first, since AA contract stops it till those items are changed.
Nothing has happened to the APA contract! What rock have you been livig under, AMR can impose work rules as it sees fit as long as they don't go below the 1113 term sheet, AMR hasn't made any changes to the contract or made anything public. They can contract with Anyone to fly 88 seaters at any time they want, what will they do or get away with is another conversation! The company hasn't made anything public and thus why we have so many rumors!
