On September 11, 2001, each United pilot inherited the responsibility of carrying on the legacies of Captain Saracini, Captain Dahl, First Officer Horrocks and First Officer Homer. Each time we enter the cockpit, our devotion to safety and professionalism honors their memories and lives up to the examples they set. It is our duty to continue carrying their light and honoring them with our service.
For UAL pilots not familiar with the "Just a Buck" campaign, donating a dollar out of every paycheck to the 911 memorial funds is now available through payroll deduction. $4 per paycheck ($8 monthly) is a low impact way for every UAL employee to honor the memory of our fallen brothers by keeping their memorials and scholarships funded.
For non-UAL employees, you can donate directly to the memorial funds/scholarships using PayPal or credit card.
