Somebody once suggested this role for pilots who reach age 60: they would get a fifth stripe, the rank of Flight Admiral, and a seat in first class. The airplane would be flown by mere CAs and F/Os.
Lots of authority, no responsibility. I like it. No more FSAPs! Been looking for a good excuse to get older.
