Sadly most pilots are incapable of seeing the other side. I have 2 business degrees and many years of experience so I see what Jerry has done and I am impressed. I know I am now "labor" but to succeed you must have a good working relationship with mgt. and yes that's a 2 way street. Just as we need to work with them, they need to work with us and that's exactly what Jerry understands.
Doesnt mean I don't despise Jerry and think he's a first class doosh nozzle. Just look back to 2008 with the start of "you break it, you buy it" program he initiated with XJT. And that sentiment extends to the SkyWest pilots that couldn't wait to get their hands on the ERJs so they could upgrade. I just loved being in SLC at gate 12 when theyd come over and say "hey, mind if we get a look at this plane since we're gonna be buying them and flying them soon. Don't worry, Jerry is gonna hire you all at the bottom so you'll have a job"
