Even if this is true won't they slowly furlough the majority of the pilot group over 3 years as the 200's are phased out? Isn't this what was happening to Comair?
Yup, so in another year or two mgmt can say to the senior pilot group that is still left, your wages are too high, take a pay/benefits cut, and ultimately just shut you down.
