Depends on what airline you are applying at.....

At flydubai (would not recommend unless you can take a leave from current job without quitting) you could interview with around 2,000 tt, but would need some 737 time. If you are turboprop only I would say 4,000 tt with some PIC would be more realistic. RJ only guys would be somewhere in the middle of that pack. This info is just conversations with recent new hires I've flown with. As flydubai starts growing rapidly again next fall and if the forecasted mass exodus ever comes true you could see competetive times drop. However if more weak 737 operators go under all of that is out the window and competetive times could go up. Just apply where you want to work and see what happens!
