They bought Expressjet mainly because it had a CPA with great terms from the continental side. What assets does Pinnacle have? If they can't be competitive without massive cuts to pilot contracts then what about the operation would be appealing for a purchaser? Doesn't make any sense to me.
They both fly for Delta. Plus if they dig themselves into a deeper hole, they could possibly buy them for cheap. Kinda goes alongside their "Super Regional" model they have been talking about.
