I know it's ancient history to you, but some of us went to UPT, as opposed to SUPT, and everyone flew the 38, but only some got FAR qualified. And yes, SAC, MAC, and FAIPs could take an entire class, without a single fighter. My class of 50 had 2 15s and 2 F4s.
Thanks, I understand that there was life before SUPT and how it worked.
That's nice and all, but JSTARSPILOT is 28 years old. I'm betting he didn't go through UPT...so, my question remains the same.
