Taking what a FA or GA says about the issues is not what I was pointing out. The fact that they are getting frustrated with with the situation was my point. An additional fact that they would say it knowing someone from the public is within earshot is also interesting.
Gate agents and FA's gab with the public in earshot all the time. That their frustration is pointed at the wrong place is also a very frequent occurrence.
When I was at pinnacle as an FO, gate agents started blabbing at me about how overpaid I was and blah blah blah for not agreeing to the company's recent contract proposal to us.
I made 25,000 dollars that year.
So, no... I do not give much weight to their idle chatter.
