Misinformation may have been a poor term to use. I just didn't know that "If needed for SC" was treated in that manner. But like you said, even if it does, we seem to get peppered with so many more SCs these days it probably isn't a player.
Either way, nothing will surprise me. At this point, I know if I think I have it figured out, it's just a matter of time before someone tells me I'm totally wrong. It sounds like a joke, or a good t-shirt slogan, but unfortunately it's not.
