I guess what it boils down to is if I could get hired at Jazz as a low time pilot, if I could get my FAA certificates transferred and obtain a right to work in Canada.
Anyone have experience with this? Any insights on hiring at Jazz?
Thanks!
No sorry, I don't think you would be able to do that. Most people getting hired there have at least 1000 hours mpic, and 3000 TT. With 1000 hours TT, you MAY be able to get a job making 25K a year to fly a King Air. If you're lucky. Most guys up here start out working for a king air or metro outfit on the ramp waiting in line to fill vacant pilot positions. Most people do that rather then flight instruct. However, there are people who go the instructor route as well.
Jazz isn't like another regional in the US, it's payscale is a bit better, as are the working conditions. lots of people hang their hat up there.
