Instrucor fee dropped from $40/hr ( I only got 15 of that) to $36/hr
Back in 1988, 152s were $29.95, IFR 152s were $35, IFR 172s were $39 and an Archer with AP, DME and air conditioning was $50.
The Seminole was $85. Heavy iron.
