Most or all of the major airlines let you live wherever you want. It is each person's responsibility to report to their base at the start of the trip and the commute might be annoying but they accept that.

I actually know of a mechanic who commutes weekly! He does four days of work and then non-revs home. I'm pretty sure it's rare for mechanics like that. However, many pilots commute to their base from home.
