Is yours on floats? I've always wanted to get my float ticket. I've flown a buddies J3 on floats a few times...until he flipped it a few years ago.
Nope, I wish it was on floats! Pretty much a plain jane J3 w/ no electrical system, a 1946 like yours...sucks getting totaled in a hurricane, ironic for an old plane to survive that long only to be destroyed on the ground

I've thought about heading down to Jack Brown's Seaplane Base to get my float rating, figure it'd be pretty easy as they use J3s. That's pretty close to your neck of the woods, isn't it?
