Is ANC a base that one would often start their trips from? I have read here that JFK based crews rarely start trips out of base, but HSV trips often do, making it necessary for a "commuter" to airline in a day early, with all the details involved (on your own time, permuted taxable airfare, etc).
ANC? Start trips there, or DH to meet an airplane?
