Seniority is everything. One number could be the difference in keeping your job or being unemployed. If you don't like the plane your on, take mil leave for 2 years then bid the 320. Passing up what could be many a seniority number so you don't have to fly the "small" plane is stooopid. Not to mention you may be junior in your class and not get what you want anyhow.
Good point, when they called me to interview I chose 1:30pm instead of 8:30am so I wouldn't have to deal with NY rush hour traffic/stress before the interview. That cost me about 25 seniority numbers and 3 extra months waiting for a class date. Stoooooopid move FWIW
