It's all relative...it's not the service itself that was referenced, but some are born to seek the undesirable or dangerous jobs and others seek out a more prima donna role. Secondly, I orginally said service not military. But since it was brought up, to some the military is flying planes in Florida, playing a lot of golf and going to football games in C Springs on your weekends off. For others, it is long combat cruises or countless trips to Kabul, Khandahar, Bahgdad, ect. My point is that there will always be groups comprised of folks that do more than their share to carry the burden of freeloaders. Strong units police the freeloaders out...others accept and capitulate the existance of excess freeloaders and are easily defeated. This is what I feel is at the essence of the original post...this is why I feel the sUAL culture is worth defending. I would appologize in person for the poor choice of words but I don't play golf.
