- Seattle is important to Delta. Doesn't take much work on google to find that DAL has recently added flights there. Im sure AMR and SWA have no idea we codeshare with Alaska.
-The Atlantic markets are weak. Who in this industry does not know that.
- Delta is going to play Boeing vs. Airbus. Nothing that AMR didn't do last year and that Delta didn't previously do with the 737-900 order.
Every time that I get a line check, those guys love to play "I know something that you don't game" and I'll tell you on the leg home if there's time. They tell us and then we come here (or other forums) and tell all of our buds. My point is that information finds it's way here anyway. I even saved the "Delta Digest" or whatever it was called, where RA said "I'm not here to merge this airline". Within 6 months he announced the merger with NWA. I think that certain items they put out are mis-information anyway. !
Perhaps, but the difference is when you are in a position of trust like an LCA, and THE boss asks you not to put it on a public forum and you do you have violated that trust, and it means at the very least that candid information will less forthcoming in the future.
OTOH, I agree somewhat with the misinformation and public info perspective - they are not going to reveal the really sensitive stuff to 400 gossipy pilots not bound by a confidentiality agreement.
I'm guessing they, whomever they are, is more PO'd that they can't trust a trusted group to exercise some headwork. There is a difference between word of mouth and a transcript than can be read by the press. Doh!
