None the less, I agree with your point.

Those who have stagnated at the bottom, some of whom are considering looking elsewhere for employment (despite the fact Delta is a wonderful place to be) are desperate for any good news. That is how their priorities get screwed up. I don't condone Fartbox's antagonism on the subject, but with yet another displacement coming up, I sure do understand it.
ALPA has to invest resources to grieve their termination (even if their termination is a slam dunk due to the social media policy). If they quit then its just one less 1.95%. Litigation of one termination costs at least a lifetime of dues.

People on the bottom of the list should be thankful they weren't at Comair, or aren't at GoJets, or weren't at Colgan, or aren't at Pinnacle. I can understand people getting frustrated and how they can get desperate for the smallest morsel of good news, but I see this most from people who don't truly understand how awful this industry can be. A junior DAL FOs QOL is likely better than that of even the most senior pilots in the regional world. I would hazard a guess that the plug here gets more days off than at least 75% of all the RJ drivers out there.

Granted our situation isn't great, and it may not be for a while, and the actual 5 year plan would be really cool to see, but we aren't paid to plan - we're paid to fly and gossip. So if we aren't giving orders, we're taking them - and when the CO orders you to not run to social media with something (not sure if RA directly did or not - but for the sake of the company's reaction lets say he did) - then you don't. Let the leaks come as they may - and they will come. But don't disobey orders - even if you feel entitled to do so under the guise of anonymity. See - getting paid to gossip.
