Living in a city that RAH has a base in means nothing. You might not get the certificate you want, you could be displaced, your base could close. It took me almost four years to be based at home, and even then I got extremely lucky. Too many people at RAH commute because of managements decisions.
Expressjet/Skywest are superior to RAH in almost every way. If you need one reason to avoid RAH, then I'd pick the chronically adversarial relationship between management and labor.
