We've already got our foot in the door with grabbing some American feed; I bet there is more to come, and that we will be players for that. Remember the cost savings of the merger are not yet full and the economies of scale of SKYW inc. helps us when it comes to the whole 50 seater dilemma. I tend to think we will be players in the future...Our situation and Comair's are two completely different scenarios.
My problem with our company is the unbelievable amount of lifers. We have tons of '97-00' hires here...Seriously guys, GOOOOOOOOOO.
Those guys are lineholding Captains making 90k+ and most of them are single income family with kids. They will leave for something that is not a huge paycut like Delta. Very few of them will leave for 35 to 40k pay at UniCal or Airways and forget about Spirit,JetBlue, and Virgin. The more junior Captains that are on reserve should create some movement. Hopefully UniCal gets a good contract and gets the 97-00s moving
