ERJ 50s for CRJ 70s. Have LASA fly them, hire new pilots which would be about the same cost as retraining a LXJT, but are cheaper to use considering first year pay. LXJT starts to shrink, contract FINALLY gets signed and waalllaaa, we have a full merge.
JA's a smart man. He has history with ASA not XJT.
where are the new pilots going to come from? ATP rule is already making it hard to find pilots. In the future the regionals will be the ones with a pilot shortage. not mainline.
