I once worked for a company called Atlantic Southeast Airlines. I now work for a company named Expressjet as the name the Atlantic Southeast Airlines does not exist anymore as an airline. If you want to keep pointing your fingers at a someone else instead of trying to rationalize and possibly educate, then you are the problem.
The name of our airline has absolutely NOTHING to do with this debate...We are separate pilot groups with separate representatives until we agree on a JCBA....Southwest bought Air Tran, but they are also two separate pilot groups that aren't getting along very well. How about USair and America West....They are still separate....
This is business pure and simple. The two sides have different opinions and we will stay separate until those differences are settled....Either by mutual agreement or outside influence...My money says it will be an outside influence from St. George....

You mean like all the short time XJT pilots put the "lifer ASA" pilots in their shoes? Sorry, but I've been in this business long enough to realize that nobody is putting themselves in my shoes...The only one in my shoes is ME...The only one in your shoes is YOU....That doesn't mean we can't work together on MUTUAL concerns, but they have to be MUTUAL concerns....

He bought BOTH ASA and ExpressJet because he is a good business man and good at what he does....IMO, the best in the business....I'm not upset that we were bought...It seems that most XJT folks resent it...I don't get that...

It's so much easier to tell someone else that they need to.
Sounds stupid but that is what you are asking of them.
I'm not asking them for ANYTHING....The fact is, what they are asking for simply isn't going to happen...We will stay separate as long as they are asking for something that is so far outside of the industry standard.
They can ask for all they want...Doesn't mean it is going to happen...I'm fine with staying separate....
