The 787 is showing the potential to become a very successful program for Boeing, either though they are both long haul A/C, the 787 is also demonstrating (the ANA, performance numbers in the domestic market, as well as the long haul market are pretty impressive) very good performance in medium and short haul flights, I think both the 787 and the 777 (specially the next gen 777's) will sell very well going forward.
