747 guys, do y'all typically wear earpieces, headsets, ANR rigs, or whatever the heck you have lying around? I know a lot of the guys at my last gig used headsets because apparently the 747 is a loud cockpit. I just ran across an old headset of mine and I'm wondering whether to sell it or keep it.
Not that this is a big issue for the foreseeable future, but when the Mrs. says it's time to clean...it's good to know what might still be useful.
The cockpits really aren't that noisy.
All of the Atlas 74's have Telex 750's except the LCF's which have active noise cancelling headsets. Most guys use the company headsets but I've also seen quite a few Bose and Sennheisers.
Use what you want or make some cash on Ebay.
