There's no reason you can't do a masters full-time (or part time) as a traditional reserve/guard guy. If you're full time, the military generally supports higher education (part time) but it depends on the exact needs of your unit.

The only gotcha is if you get mobilized...USERRA protects your employment, but not your enrollment status in school. You could lose a semester (and perhaps the tuition) if you leave in the middle. Research the school's policy on that.

Boulder ain't cheap, but you probably know that.
