It reminds me of all of those Guadalajara maintenance check flights on the 88. You'll deadhead down knowing the airplane won't be ready for tomorrow. You'll show up the next day and the plane won't be ready. Then the LCA will call and get your day off rolled so that they can keep you another day turning this three day waste of your time into a four day waste of your time.
So I bet your chances of having to show are way greater than your chance of going.
One time I had to commute to ATL to DH to AMS to DH back to ATL to commute back home.
The Company substituted equipment on the first leg and then decided 3 hours after we left to substitute equipment on the way back too.......
