I average 2-3 trips per month. Mostly island red eye turns, or a 3day with redeye to the west coast, 24hr layover, redeye back. Once in a while you score a sweet 2 day trip somewhere nice like AUA/SFO, daytime flying, with a 24hr layover. 4-day trips on reserve are pretty rare, since they are desirable for commuters and generally more productive.

Youll be on reserve on the 320 BOS for a long time. I'm at about 1.5yrs and still a few spots from holding a line. If I was awarded the E190 BOS then I would be almost 50% seniority in base.

But, if you live fairly close to BOS and just want to spend time at home then 320 reserve is the way to go.
I agree reserve on the A320 in BOS will be for a while if you start here now. Keep in mind too that many E190 guys are finishing their 2-year aircraft lock and bidding over to the bus, thus driving guys already there down in relative seniority. If you want to get off reserve ASAP, the E190 is the way to go.
