This one line of your post has a lot of merit. The company has a top dollar, they may change parts of the pot to make it better but then will take money from other parts to keep the ceiling intact. Says who? I'm not saying that they won't try, but its up to us to call their bluff. We pilots are not under any timelines to complete this merger, Smisek is. Why are YOU and others giving him so much slack and making excuses to bend over? Again, pilots talk tough and then make a bunch of excuses to vote yes on a substandard agreement.
