What I'm saying is that the most senior guy on reserve could be built a relief/composite/whatever you want to call it line, and have the privileges and flexibility of a line holder. I used to love relief lines back in the day. Now, if you have the right amount of pre-assigned credit and you put the right availability on your bid sheet then *poof* instant line holder, regardless of seniority. Why is it that you get so irritated by a phenomena that doesn't affect senior bidders, but not bothered by the fact that line holders get extra days off in their vacation months, but reserve pilots don't under line bidding? How is that exactly fair? If two pilots have same amount of vacation of seniority (for the argument's sake), they both should have the same potential number of days off regardess of line holder/reserve status in my opinion.
