Well, that's the thing. I think of Clinton back with American in 97, which was after his re-election as well when he'd have nothing to gain or lose politically. I really just don't think politicians want the mess of a major airline strike even if they're pro union. Sometimes it's not about reelections but headlines and headaches. Just imho though.

Ironically had a UAL 744 guy on the jumpseat tonight. Very long and interesting conversation about their "mess." He said they're anger towards the CAL MEC, their own MEC and the company has many of them willing to go the UsAir route. We'll see.
