Removed from Flying duties/status
About 2 years ago I was pulled off line for a week, because of an issue with a flight attendant. Rather than just pulling himself off the trip, he accused me of drinking within 12 hours of show time.
I'm starting to fill out apps for the majors and that question comes up. Particularly on the airline apps addendums. My question is this: How do I explain that I was pulled offline for a week while the investigation was completed? I want to give the info, rather than it come up in PRIA or anything else. All the while making it sound as "positive" as it can.
Side notes (I don't want to explain the whole situation because it is long and complicated)
1. My job was never in question.
2. The event became more of an issue of why the FA accused me of drinking, when the problem wasn't even related to that. (It was a paperwork issue). More importantly why he would let me fly, then make the accusation. (his reason was: it wasn't my leg... it was)
3. I never had to go do a carpet dance or anything like that.
The whole issue was resolved and I was returned to the line with no further actions taken.
4. In his meeting with the company his story completely changed. They asked if he saw me drinking, he didn't. He was asked if he saw me with a drink in front of me, he didn't. Then he was asked by the director of in-flight why they were even there. He didn't have an answer.
Thanks all
