It is true that compromise is going to be the only way to get this done. I don't think the statement that 'one side is willing, one side is not' is completely accurate. It would appear that the L-ASA probably gives in too quickly, historically speaking, and the L-XJT group probably holds out longer, which is how they got their contract, but may not be nearly as beneficial in this case. Lots of folks on both sides want to get this behind us. Compromise is somewhere in the middle. Let's find that middle and move on, because this divided group will not improve until we do. The 'stay separate or let it burn' mentality is the wrong approach.
